The doctors are talking about letting Daddy come home this week. They will be having a team meeting tomorrow (Monday) to discuss his case. They are bringing in a neurosurgeon consult because the tumor(s) in his spine don't seem to be responding to radiation. The lower tumor is still putting pressure on his spinal cord which is puzzling to the radiologist b/c they would have expected shrinkage from the radiation. He continues to have problems with his legs and coordination (and had a small fall yesterday).
The infectious disease doctor said yesterday that he may ALWAYS have the mold in his lung - which means he can never have chemotherapy unless he wants to risk having the mold spread throughout his body. He is taking an antifungal drug to treat this in addition to the antibiotic and other drugs that he is on. The lung doctor said that we may never know everything that is inside the lung cavity so she wants him on an antibiotic just in case.
I have a graduate paper due Tuesday and I haven't even done my research for it (YIKES) so I have to get off of here. Feel free to share the blog address with others that you think might want an update.

Please let me know if you need me to do anything for you, at home in Pine Level, or whatever. I hope Mr. Ronnie gets to come home this week. I know it will help him feel better.
