11-14-2007 Update

Daddy saw a new lung doctor today. She actually showed him a picture of his lung on a laptop (wish I could have seen it). The tumor in his lung has isolated itself into a pocket (cavity) which she seemed to think was good. Daddy has been coughing a lot the last several weeks and that is because he is coughing up the mold and getting it out of his lung so no more cough syrup!

The mold that daddy has can be found in hay and grains such as millet, wheat, soybeans, cotton, etc. Surprised? I wasn't.

We are still waiting on the results of the spinal aspiration...

Daddy is still in the Durham V.A. hospital. Hopefully he will get to come home soon before he goes stir crazy, but at the same time we want to make certain that this medication gets the mold out of his body.

I plan to go to the hospital tomorrow afternoon and Friday and will not have a computer. Hopefully I will be able to talk with the doctors and will have some information to update you all on Friday evening.

April, we continue to lift you and your family up in prayer. We hope your father will respond to the meds and be able to return home. We pray comfort, peace and God's reassuring love will be wrapped around each of you.
