4-H District Activity Day

I can't believe that it's almost been a month since I've posted! We just got back from an 8 day trip to Waynesville, NC for the Gelbvieh Jr. National Cattle Show. Neil coordinated the livestock judging contest, and helped with the sales talk and we both helped with decorations for the show ring and with serving food. Lynae did a great job of fixing people's drinks and serving as the interior decorater by arranging flowers. She also got lots of pool time so she was happy. She played with lots of friends from Nebraska, Missourri and even NC. Ever year they do a fun day. Lynae, Nate and I went to Ghost Town in the Sky and Neil and some other men went to play golf. Every meal from breakfast Monday through lunch Friday was provided by us or another state's breed association. The Gelbvieh breeders are a great group of people!
The end of June means 4-H District Activity Day - I had 15 presenters at this year's event and had 10 Gold medalists and 5 silver medalists. Both of the Forsyth County talent acts earned blue ribbons which was great. Most of my kids will advance to the State Competition week after next in Raleigh.
Here's some pictures of gymnastics, Jenni Blackwell from the Rocking B here in NC holding Nate, Ghost Town, and one of Nate from today.
