New House & Nutrition Fair

Lynae was the Overall Winner in the Desserts category at the 4-H Nutrition Fair last week. She made her sweet potato pie. She beat several much older kids to win. She set her table by herself and knew that sweet potatoes were a good source of Vit. A!

In case you haven't heard we are planning on moving. Here are a few shots of the house. The brick mason should be here on Monday to enclose the carport to make a place to put some houseplants and a wardrobe for coats, and cattle feeding clothing. We still have a few little things to do in the house before we can set a move date (of course I am working every Saturday between now and May 10th except for Easter when we plan to visit Pine Level). I'll keep you posted...It's less than 2 miles from our current house. As a matter of fact we can still hear the cows mooing and the donkey braying so as the crow flies it's pretty close.

I think I'll get you some flowers for you birthday? How do you feel about lilies? I have several varieties that Mimi developed that could use dividing. Boxwood, hemlocks, azaelas and rhododendrons are also available via the Gardners.

Congratulations to Lynae! She's going to be a great mommy's little helper in a couple of months!
