We're HOME!

We finally made it home last night in time for a late supper. The hospice nurses were here waiting on us (as well as several loving friends and family members) to hook up Daddy's iv. Everyone is exhausted as you can imagine. We are asking that everyone try to limit visiting hours to 1-3 and 6-8 PM so that the family can get some rest. Daddy is still sleeping right much because of the pain medication, but we are trying to regulate that and find the right balance between keeping him comfortable but yet still awake. We will be getting a guest book to put in the garage for you to sign if you come by during other hours (please use the garage door, but make certain that you close the gate so the dog doesn't get out).

Daddy had a good night and seems to have had a good morning. He ate a good breakfast and sat up for about an hour and said that he wasn't hurting (he has a morphine drip to regulate the pain). He is napping now. I am sure that he is glad to be home.

More later....Love to you all.

April & family,

We are thankful that your dad got home and that he had a good night and a good morning. We continue to pray for comfort and good days and nights for him. Take good care of your mom; I know she must be exhausted. We pray that God will give you the rest and strength that you need to do what needs to be done as you care for and minister to both of your parents. Please let me know if there is anything that we can do for you and/or your family.

Much love and prayer,
April
