11-25-2007

Daddy was able to eat lunch with the family on Thursday although it wasn't a very good day. His temperature dropped to 95, he was shaking and had a cold sweat. We still don't know exactly why. The past three days have been better than Thursday (thank goodness - he really scared us for awhile there).

He is weak and just the act of getting out of bed tires him out. He is having trouble breathing (but I guess we would too with a huge mass in our lung). He is depending heavily on his walker as well as someone walking with him to help steady him. We are trying to encourage him to do some leg exercises to keep his leg muscles from getting so weak.

He takes his last radiation treatment tomorrow (Monday) and then has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday so we will see what they decide to do then. We feel that he is not drinking enough and they may possibly need to start him on IV fluids. We will see what they think.

Well that is all for now. Lunch is on it's way!

April,

Your mom told mama about this blog. I wanted to let you know that eventhough I have not been down to see Ronnie, Alice, or you guys, I think of you and pray for him and ya'll constantly. I have my church praying for Ronnie, too. I know you all are exhausted and I am so thankful that your family has such wonderful family and friends! I will be coming back to stay updated. Contact me any time if you need to talk. Also, next time you are in town and Lynae needs a playmate, give us a call! Kailey would be happy to entertain her!

Love you all,

Karla Thompson Rea

My mom told me about this blog. I wanted to let you know that although I have not been down to see Ronnie or any of you, you all are in my thoughts and prayers constantly. I think of you and Amy a lot and all of my childhood memories that involve your family! Next time you are in town and Lynae needs a playmate, give us a call, Kailey would be happy to entertain! I will tune back in to the blog to find out about Ronnie's Dr. appt.

Love you all,
